Who I Am
I am a storyteller. Therefore, I create stories.
Story.
Not only from imagination, but experience too.
It’s better to not know whencesoever,
For they will always arrive.
Haunting sleeping hours, deep in the night.
As I walk upon the lonely path of life,
Story is eternal, and that is just right.
So, indulge me here, and
Listen to my tale.
Of heroes and villains, and awful spite and dear woe.
Let me leave a little bit with you before I must go.
For story is eternal, and that we all know.
Gather round, the fire is warm.
A brief sanctuary, to protect you and guide you,
So seek a shelter from the storm.
For story is here, and I will cast its grand form.
There is nothing we know but what is inside,
And even that we don’t know at times.
The self is a fleeting, fickle trickster,
And I can reel it in with this lariat I wind.
Twisting and spiraling on a course unknown,
Fabulous fashioning phrases encircling the forms.
Here is my nature, here my pride.
Let’s gather around for storytelling we are bound!
Storytelling is eternal, great stories are timeless
